Vita Nova serves as a safe bridge to independence for former foster care, LGBTQ, and other homeless youth through supportive housing, education, employment, and life skills training. As an advocate for homeless young adults, Vita Nova aims to eliminate homelessness for youth ages 18 to 25 in Palm Beach County.
Independent Living
Vita Nova’s Independent Living Services support young adults who aged out of the foster care system in Palm Beach County. The program helps them gain the skills and education needed to become self-sufficient and maintain employment. Life Coaches offer various services including:
- Educational support
- Housing assistance
- Financial planning
- Life skills training
- Career exploration
Housing
Vita Nova Village
The Vita Nova Village is a housing program for young adults (ages 18-25) who have aged out of the foster care system or are homeless. The program helps participants learn to live independently while pursuing educational and employment goals. Support services provided include:
- Employment coordination
- Healthcare coordination
- Education coordination (high school, college, and vocational)
- Mental health services
- Drug and alcohol management referrals
- Housing coordination for program exit
The campus includes three buildings with 12 apartments, shared living rooms, kitchens, and baths, accommodating up to 28 young adults in two and three-bedroom apartments. An application and interview process determines residency suitability.
