The L3 Ladies of Resilience Career Mentoring Program is designed to empower young women by pairing them with professional career women and college mentors. The program focuses on providing exposure to various career fields, college experiences, and essential life skills through a combination of mentorship, job-shadowing, and education.
Program Highlights
- Mentorship Pairing: Participants are matched with professional career women who guide them through their career interests and goals.
- College Experience: Girls are paired with college mentors who provide a weekend experience at a college to emphasize the importance of higher education.
- Curriculum: Engage in 2-3 hours of instructional sessions each month with their mentors, following the L3 curriculum which covers career development and life skills.
- Job-Shadowing: Participate in job-shadowing opportunities with their career mentors every other month to gain firsthand experience in various professions.
- Hybrid Format: The program includes both online and in-person components to offer flexibility and comprehensive learning experiences.
Who Can Apply
- Middle school through age 23
- Enrolled in an Independent Living Program or a similar support program for youth
- Generally available to individuals in the program’s operational regions (specific regions or schools may be included)
