Eligibility
- Youth experiencing foster care (15-21 years old) and in an out-of-home placement.
- Young adults enrolled in PESS (18-23 years old).
- Youth certified as unaccompanied homeless youth and young people experiencing homelessness (16-24 years old).
Helpful Tips
- If you think you may have already applied to K2I, verify before starting a new application.
- Enroll in driver’s education courses if available (i.e. high school driver’s ed).
- Research and compare car insurance rates to find the most affordable option.
- Look into programs that offer discounted or free transportation services for former foster youth( i.e. some local libraries provide free bus passes if you’re 18 or older, however you must present an ID.
