The Cobb Community Foundation has a Fostering Education Scholarship Fund which was established by Village Connection, a former nonprofit serving children in foster care, and Innovative Fitness for the purpose of providing scholarships to students who have aged out of the Georgia Department of Family & Children Services System (“Foster Care”).
Who Can Apply
- Students must be in their senior year of high school or no more than 12 months past high school graduation
- must have been in foster care in Georgia after the age of 14 for at least 6 months, and lack the funds needed to attend college
- 2.5 minimum GPA
- US citizenship required
The estimated scholarship award will be $2,000 with an estimated number of 4 scholarships available.
