Florida Youth SHINE empowers current and former foster youth in Florida by providing opportunities to influence child welfare policies, engage in advocacy, and develop leadership skills. The Youth Advisory Board aims to ensure that foster youth voices are heard and contribute to meaningful changes in the foster care system.

Who Can Apply

• Youth (age 13-26) with lived experience
• Chapter Mentors who are working with a current chapter of FYS or developing a new chapter
• Youth Advocates who support youth in care or experiencing homelessness

What You’ll Gain
