The Family Fellowship Program provides comprehensive support to college-bound foster youth who are transitioning out of the foster care system. This program aims to foster personal and professional development, leadership skills, and community building among students pursuing undergraduate degrees, particularly in STEM-related fields.
Who Can Apply
- 18-23 years old during the application year. Seventeen-year-olds can apply with a guardian’s signature, and those turning 24 before June 1st of the application year can also apply.
- Accepted to or expecting acceptance to an accredited, Pell-eligible college or other post-secondary institution. Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have lived in foster care in the U.S. and meet one of the following criteria:
○ Lived in foster care for at least 12 consecutive months leading up to and including the 18th birthday.
○ Adopted or placed into legal guardianship from foster care after the 13th birthday.
○ Orphaned for at least one year before the 18th birthday.

- College Transcript (if applicable)
- Proof of Foster Care Status
- Application Essay (Personal Statement)
- Professional Headshot Photograph
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- College Acceptance Letter(s)
