Every Mother's Advocate

Every Mother’s Advocate (EMA) is a court-approved prevention program designed to support you if you’re a mom in crisis and help preserve your family. When you join EMA, you will be paired with a professional Care Coordinator and a dedicated EMA Advocate. This partnership provides you with holistic support and fosters meaningful relationships to ensure you have the resources and assistance to empower you to overcome challenges to build a strong and stable future for your family.

Who Can Apply?

Mothers in crisis who are experiencing:

  • Experiencing poverty
  • Have children in foster care
  • At-risk of family separation

Helpful tips

  • If you’re connected to a social service agency, you can submit a referral form for support.
  • If you don’t reside in the served cities, virtual support options are available.

How Does It Work

Submit a Referral

Complete and submit a self or community referral form. Initial Contact: Someone from the ĒMA Team will reach out to you within 24-48 hours.

Intake and Assessment

Participate in an intake and assessment process to determine your needs and goals.

Get Paired with an Advocate

You will be matched with an advocate who will guide you through the process.

Weekly Meetings

Your Advocate will schedule weekly meetings with you, either virtually or in person.

Action Plan Review

During these sessions, your Advocate will review your action plan, address current needs, and provide support.

Advocacy Goals

The purpose of these sessions is to build a strong relationship, offer education, and help you achieve your goals.
